We're here to start a conversation

Meet Sophia, the voice and heart behind Our Gifted Kids. As a parent navigating the unique challenges of raising three gifted children, Sophia knows firsthand the questions, concerns, and triumphs that parents face every day. She isn’t just sharing answers—she’s asking the questions every parent wants to hear, sparking meaningful conversations that get to the heart of what it means to support gifted kids.

Through her insightful and engaging presentations, Sophia connects with parents, educators, and professionals, creating a space where real questions are met with honest, practical answers.

Sophia has a background working as a Senior Adviser to the Education Minister in Queensland, the manager of a regional arts charity working in Europes most deprived postcodes and working for a major Australian festival.
She is also a committee member for GTCASA and the former chair of Dara school board.

Sophia has presented across Australia to parents, educators and politicians on a wide variety of topics related to Gifted children ranging from intimate settings to major events.

Her relatable approach and dedication to advocacy make her an ideal speaker for conferences, workshops, and events.

    The way we work

    Some of the fine print.

Our Gifted Kids is independent and we recommend things that work with our kids and our community’s kids.

We do have to pay the bills though so you may find advertising or paid editorials – these will always be clearly marked and our we only promote companies or individuals who share our values. If we wouldn’t use it, we won’t promote it.

The whole point of Our Gifted Kids is to bring together parents and the people or stuff that’s going to make life easier for you to parent your gifted kids. So we’re ok with advertising good products or services if that
    1) makes it easier for you to find them and
    2) helps us achieve our aim.

Links to other websites may sometimes be affiliate links designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to other websites (so we can pay the bills!).

This means that if you purchase something from that site after clicking over from Our Gifted Kids we receive a very-small percentage of the sale. Clicking through these links does not cost you any more than you’d already be spending.

Our Gifted Kids uses various social media platforms and are not responsible for what you post on our social media channels.

The views and opinions expressed on this site, our social media and podcast are our own, based on our experience. Any advice or tips offered herein are not a replacement for medical advice from a physician or other health care professional.

Your privacy is very important to us and our Privacy Policy can be found at the bottom of each page, along with Terms and Conditions and our Disclaimer.

Giving back is also important to us and we donate to two, already chosen, charities at the end of each financial year
